As I was changing a tire, a can of fix-a-flat burst in my face... how do I remove the smell from my hair?

It must have been a faulty bottle, as it just exploded and splattered all over the car, my suit, and got all in my face and hair. I washed my hair, but the horrible smell still remains and I've searched online everywhere and I just can't find a way to get it out.

Any suggestions?

And to anyone who doesn't know but might be able to help, Fix-A-Flat is an adhesive spray that you put on a flat tire to seal it up until you can get it changed. It kind of has a tar-ish, burnt rubbery smell, if anyone knows how to get that smell out.As I was changing a tire, a can of fix-a-flat burst in my face... how do I remove the smell from my hair?hahahahaha no you didn't

How to replace/change a tire on a rim?

I just a got a flat the other day on my ford focus (205/50 R16). I'm wondering if there are any guides or tutorials on the web on how to replace the actual tire on the rim, and not the whole tire. I've tried looking up the web but couldn't find anything.

I don't want to spend an additional 70 bux for the services when i could do it myself. All i need is a someone to point me to the right direction.

So if there's anyone kind enough to help me out, I would appreciate it, sincerely.

Thanx

p.s. remember, safety first. How to replace/change a tire on a rim?Automobile tires are stretched when mounted over a wheel, this is very difficult to do without proper tools. Just to clarify, tire is the rubber, wheel is the steel. You don't need to replace the entire unit!

A mount and balance at most tire shops should never be more than $25 dollars, and in most cases is included in the cost of repair. Proper repair means breaking the tire down and putting a patch on from the inside. Plugs are not the best choice.

If the tire was run flat to the point of ruin, the tire shop you purchase a replacement from will most often not warrenty if someone else mounts it.How to replace/change a tire on a rim?you need to take to a tire shop, the tire needs to balenced when put on rim and you need special equiptment to do that.....How to replace/change a tire on a rim?who ever is going to charge you $70 to change the tire on a rim there ripping you of take it to the garage with the new tire it shouldnt cost more than 15-20 bucks get it mounted and balanced then put it back on your self! ive had this done at small family owned shops for as little as 5 to 10 bucks never more than 10 it only takes like 10 mins to mount and balance a tire! How to replace/change a tire on a rim?Emir....i have read your question 2 times and it still makes no sense at all ....if your asking cani replace my own tire from rim to rim in my driveway? i will say no.... unless your superman....and are u saying its 70 dollars for a new tire?... i would say yes it is..its called %26quot;part of owning a car%26quot;....but take your flat to tire store or garage,if it cant be fixed.....buck up player and get you focus a new tireHow to replace/change a tire on a rim?I work in the tire business. We have a $2,000 machine that does only one thing - mount and dismount tires.

There is no other safe way to do it.

Most tire shops charge around $15 to dismount/mount and balance a tire. Is $15 worth your life?

  • How can a change my sleep patterns?

i'm a night person (as you can tell, since it's 1:00 am here) I've always been a night person, but this makes my lifestyle really hard.

i need to get up at 7:30 every morning and it KILLS me, all day i'm tired, and then around 8pm, BAM! i'm awake and ready to go, and i can't sleep until at least 11:30 or 12:00 at the earliest.

i've tried getting up early and exercising, but it doesn't work very well b/c i just don't wake up, even when i'm at the gym. i've had friends wake me up and talk to me and i don't remember any of the conversation, i'm just completely out of it.

how can i change my sleep patterns to be more alert in the morning and afternoon and more apt to want to sleep at an earlier time? How can a change my sleep patterns?I've been a night person all my life so when I was single I always got a graveyard shift. Mom always told me I couldn't sleep at night because I was afraid I'd miss something. lol!

When I had minor children I had to change my pattern. First off I began to take multi vitamins before I laid down to sleep. Don't know why it works but anytime I know I'm only going to get a few hrs. of sleep I take one %26amp; it's easier to wake up.

Then I got a really irritating alarm clock %26amp; set it across the room where I had to get up to turn it off. After awhile I automatically woke up before the alarm because I didn't want to hear it (yeah, it was that irritating) %26amp; if I didn't stay up it'd go off 10 minutes later.

Then while waiting for the coffee I'd take a few deep breathes, breathing slowly in %26amp; out. Then take another multivitamin if still sleepy.

At night when I'd want to go to bed earlier I'd take a warm lavender scented bath %26amp; make an egg or turkey sandwich. Once in bed I'd focus on the fan blades in the summer or a lava lamp when too cold %26amp; drift off w/o even realizing it.

I know what you mean by those second winds. There are certain times I know if I'm not in bed by that time I'll get one. But if I lay down too soon before it I'll get up in the middle of the night %26amp; can't get back to sleep.

The problem is you're waiting until utter exhaustion before going to bed thus a bomb could drop %26amp; you wouldn't know it. Pick a reasonable time, do the things I suggested %26amp; you will be able to sleep. During the day while you're up make a list of all you need to do the next day %26amp; before bed get your clothes for the next day set out. That way instead of rushing you can relax until you're fully awake. Cross the items off the list as they're accomplished so you don't have something on your mind to worry about at bedtime. Then relax yourself into sleep.

It takes a little work but it beats exhaustion. How can a change my sleep patterns?I know this will sound crazy, but I get off schedule a lot. The only thing that helps me is to stay up for like 2 days and then crash. To help me stay awake that long I use diet pills, caffeine and try to stay busy-away from home, that way I'm not tempted to nap.How can a change my sleep patterns?sleeping pills. yeah. How can a change my sleep patterns? You are not getting the proper nutrients in the food you eat. Eat lots of veggies, like leafy green lettuce, celery, cucumbers, broccoli, green beans, and also all other kinds of beans as well, as they are protein, peas, carrots, very limited amounts of pizza's, not junk food.

Stop all dairy products especially Milk, cheeses, ice-cream. It makes you sluggish. Very little amounts of burgers, hot dogs, and spaghetti.

Off white breads, bagels, eat some whole grain breads. Limit your potatoes, and bake them, NO fries, off sugars, off sodas,as they are stimulants, so are energy drinks. Limit caffeine drinks definitely do not drink them after your supper time.

Eat all berries, and other fruits between meals.

Now if you change your way of eating your body will be getting the nutrients it needs, however you should still have supplements to make up for the lack of minerals that you need.

You also should drink half your body weight in filtered water a day. Upon you rising in the morning immediately drink a large glass of real cold filtered water that gets your metabolism working right away.

You should drink half your weight in ounces of filtered water!

Make sure you eat a good breakfast, of Quick Quaker Oats, the kind you cook. This gives you the fiber you need to get your digestion working. Use a herbal sweetener called Stevia. Do not eat all those sugar coated cereals as they are not natural.

Anyway I know this sounds like a lot of work and changes but this is exactly what you need to do.. When you do something for 21 days it becomes a habit and it will get easier to do.

You also need to stop saying you are a night person and say instead, I am changing my ways. You frame your world by your words.

Now you can stuff yourself with chemicals and pharmeceuticals But this is only temporary, and you will become full of toxins which weakens your immune system, to fight against sicknesses.

If you have any questions email me at newbegin@shaw.caHow can a change my sleep patterns?i have no idea. but if you get a really good answer...please share. thanks.

How often in miles should you change mud and snow tires?

I'm bringing my SUV in tomorrow for a rotation and to see if I should have new tires for a very snowy week ahaed... how can I tell a sales pitch from a real necessity for new tires? How often in miles should you change mud and snow tires? There is no one answer. Different tires use different rubber compounds which wear at different rates. Also, your driving habits also play a great deal in determining the tires longevity.

Take a look at the remaining tread depth of your tires. Is it even across the width of the tire ( or is it wearing either on the inside, centre, or outside of the tire )? As long as they're wearing evenly, you will get the full life expectancy out of those tires. If the wear is uneven, their useful life expectancy is cut short. Also, a tire is considered legally bald when it reaches 2/32%26quot; tread remaining ( but many tire experts suggest changing a tire at 4/32%26quot; ). If you're close to this wear point, they may suggest buying new tires at this time. How often in miles should you change mud and snow tires?how i do it

    1 look at tires

2 are they working..my wifes tires worked great new but only 1/2 worn were crap in the rain skidding everywhere..

3 how much $ you have..can you pay now or have to nurse it till summer

How does a "low tire" sensor work?

My 2008 Honda has a dash light that comes on when a tire has low air pressure. How can it do that? The tires aren't hooked up to anything. How does a %26quot;low tire%26quot; sensor work? The tire pressure sensor doesn't actually measure the tire pressure. It uses the wheel speed sensor (part of the ABS) to measure very minute differences in rotational speed between all four tires. When it senses a difference from what a nominally good tire is, it will turn on the tire pressure light. Note that you will need to check the tire pressure in all tires, as it doesn't indicate which tire is the problem. Once the tire pressure is adjusted, reset the light according to the owner's manual. You'll also need to do this after changing to a spare. How does a %26quot;low tire%26quot; sensor work? There's actually two different types, direct and indirect. What the other guy described was indirect.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire_pressuHow does a %26quot;low tire%26quot; sensor work?It uses a sensor inside the wheel, behind the valve stem. This system is called TPMS Tire pressure monitoring system.

When tire pressure is low, it sends out a signal to a reciever that indicates which tire is low, then your indicator lights come on.

These sensors are battery powered, they last about 7-10 years.

    They transmit to RF signals.

How do I change fuel filter - jeep comanche?

Can I simply remove the two lines to the fuel filter, change filter and reconnect the lines? How do I keep gas from draining? How do I change fuel filter - jeep comanche?I recently added this section onto my seb site. There is a part on there wtih images and with text to show you how to do it. There will not be very much fuel, if any, coming from the filter. I would still have a small container to catch it, because even a drop can make you smell for a while.

    http://www.myjeepwrangler.com/fuel-filte

Here are the instructions that I copied and pasted:

This is the location of the fuel filter in my '95 Jeep Wrangler. The view is from the back, driver's side. The best way to get to the fuel filter is to get under the Jeep from in front of the back driver's side tire. It is mounted on the inside of the frame.

You will have to loosen the straps buy using a flat head screw driver on both sides of the fuel filter. Unscrew the strap in the middle holding the filter to the frame. Once the straps are loose, get out the the way, because some gas will leak when you pull the filter out. Pull the tubes off of each side of the fuel filter and replace it with a new one.

Hope this helps! How do I change fuel filter - jeep comanche? There won't be that much gas come out in order to change the filter. Go ahead and try it.How do I change fuel filter - jeep comanche?Yes you can do that but I would suggest you relieve the pressure on the system first. If you do not relieve it you will get an eye-full of fuel and that will burn your eyes. The way to relieve pressure is under the hood. Locate the fuel injection rail. It will be a shiny silver line along the intake on the engine. It will be connected to all of the injectors. On this line there is a Schroeder valve (just like the air valve on your tire). Remove cap and depress valve to relieve pressure. How do I change fuel filter - jeep comanche?no draining at all. remove the two lines and a little gas will come out. make sure you follow the arrow on the filter and you'll be done in about five minutes. How do I change fuel filter - jeep comanche? If this Heep is fuel injected, remove fuel pump relay in underhood relay box and crank engine until dead.

Pressure relieved. How do I change fuel filter - jeep comanche?Yes, you simply repace the filter. And there will be some dribbles in the process. It is best to remove the lines and then stop what you are doing and take a break allowing the filter to finish dribbling before finishing the process. Obviously, don't smoke or have other sources of ignition during the process.
