I went to jsut simply change my tire and the lug nut would not come off. It eventually just broke off. How will this get fixed by a mechanic. One person told me they have to weld on a new bolt. It's really not that bad at all...
some can be placed in from the rear of the axle, then , as the
new lug is tightened, it will seat the new wheel bolt.
So relax, it's really not too bad and it happens all the time...

Depending on the make and year of the vehicle figure half hour to one hours labor plus parts so anywhere between 60-120 dollars at a shop.I broke the lug nut off with the screw still inside it while changing my tire. how screwed am i?most cars you can just get the rite threaded stud from the dealer or auto parts store, hammer the old stud out and insert the new stud in and use the lug nut to pull it into place. you will need to replace this it will cause the other lug nuts to loosen on you causing damage
