I went to jsut simply change my tire and the lug nut would not come off. It eventually just broke off. How will this get fixed by a mechanic. One person told me they have to weld on a new bolt. Can any mechanics help me wih an idea of what is going to need to be done?I broke the lug nut off with the screw still inside it while changing my tire. how screwed am i?Depends on the vehcile. No lug bolts to be welded here. but it
may require the removal of the axle. MAY...
It's really not that bad at all...
some can be placed in from the rear of the axle, then , as the
new lug is tightened, it will seat the new wheel bolt.
So relax, it's really not too bad and it happens all the time...
If you want more detail, post the year , model, and make of the car.
