Crawl under the vehicle, look for an adequate support for the jack, as well as the spot where the jack is %26quot;supposed%26quot; to fit into the car. Curse for about 3 minutes, cause the adequate support area is no where near the jack spot on the car. After finding the flattest roadside bolder you can find, very slowly raise the jack, allowing sway time in between lifts. Now it's time to get those lug nuts off. Before starting this find something sharp and immediately cut your hand. You may think this to be harsh and even stupid, but here's why. If you attempt lug removal without this sacrifice to the car gods, you will inevitably strip a lug, taring your skin in the process. So save the lug as it is important, the cut's a given. Grab the spare tire and move it into installation position. Lay it back down and raise the jack again as the new, inflated tire is taller then the flat one. Leave yourself plenty of escape room here. For in your haste to reach the correct height the jack will lose it's footing, crashing the car to the ground. Further wound your hand punching the car in anger. Grab your cell, call a wrecker and hope where ever you will stay the night at least has a decent bar and clean sheets.
