I'm trying to save money and might just do it myself or is it free since I believe AAA is like insurance (it's my parents). If it's free how much do I tip the guy or no tip? If not free, what does it cost on average, I'm in North New Jersey.
I believe there's a donut in my trunk. If not, do they charge me for a new tire that they bring or would I have to buy a new tire first?

no they will not bring a tire for you, they will tow you somewhere. where you can buy one, and no they will not put it on for you..
if you're STRANDED on the side of the road, they will help you put on your tire (if it's something like a jeep and you have a spare) or put on your donut, or tow it somewhere.
it may be annoying, but it's not worth it.. just change it yourself.
