I am 15 and wanting to be an auto mechanic/diesel mechanic. Is there any websites out there that are free and show you how to work on cars.
I know how to change tires and little things.
So like any sites, or forums out there to help.
I want to be able to do it online and free right now, and then later on go to college and do it

They have a wealth of information in them and to me a good reference book on the shelf is worth 100 internet sites.
They show you how to read bearings and ring wear, and also do a very good job of explaining theory.
The problem is that most mechanics today are unit replacement experts. Even with an OBD II read out, it still boils down to knowing a car or truck enough to relate all they symptoms so the most likely solution can be found.

A free automotive how-to site. Watch how to videos and go to local wrench sessions.
Best thing to do is pick a project, then invite others to attend and work together. Videotape and share online for others to view and make suggestions.
Nothing is better than just getting out there and getting your hands dirty.
