some reason Goodyear and random other Auto places in Hawaii cant open a rim lock if you have lost the key....I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND WHY its sooo impossible????How do I unlock my rim to change my tire?If you beat on it, you running a big risk of damaging your rims and/or your car, and alot of shops WON'T do it for just that reason. there should have been paperwork that came with your rims and/or a sticker somewhere on your car with a 1-800 # and a part # to get a replacement for no - little cost, Being in Hawaii, as I am, you may have to pay extra shipping. try looking in your glove box ( thats where mine is) or in the spare compartment. you can even try calling the rim manufctr (Enkie?) You can easily find an 800#. cut or beat on it only as a last resort, and be prepared to deal with the resulting damage.
