How do you change a flat tire?

can someone please tell me how to change a tire in smiple directionsHow do you change a flat tire?the simplest way would be call RACV or get someone else to change it for youHow do you change a flat tire?u go to ur trunk and grab out the wench and he car jack, all cars on he bottom have a certain part which is 100% steel, use that as where u put the jack and then turn the knob until your car is tight enough for you to use ur tire wench to unscrew all four tires hen put ur spare tire on and make sure all knobs are as tight as possible and drop the jack,

by the way don't drive more hen 10 mph or else your car tire might pop.How do you change a flat tire?-pull over to spot where you can get next to the car without getting hit.

-put it in park or in gear (no parking brake)

-get your spare tire out

-locate your jack and lug nut wrench (in trucks either behind the seat or under a floor cover in the back seat, in cars usually in the trunk or under one of the seats.)

-place the jack under the frame on a spot that has either a notch, a hole or a flat piece of stock that is all steel, NOT on a bit of sheet metal or on a un-body seam.

-just tighten the jack up a tad bit so theres pressure on it, let it rest there while you loosen the lug nuts with the lug wrench, they should be finger loose.

-jack the one corner of the vehicle up just enough to slide the tire off the wheel studs and place it right under the car while you get your spare (this is so if the jack falls or slides out, the hub and axle wont get destroyed by hitting the ground and be on the flat tire and rim, you can just jack it back up if this happens).

-place the spare tire on the wheel studs, tighten the lug nuts by hand and as far as you can with the lug nut wrench.

-move the flat tire and rim and move it out of the way

-lower the vehicle onto the spare tire just slightly so you can tighten the lug nuts all the way

-lower it all the way down, put everything back and drive it home or to a tire shop and buy a new tire

the spare should not be driven on for long or in excess of 25mph so take the back roads. How do you change a flat tire?basically what the other people said, except, when you tighten the lug nuts... To tighten the lug nuts, first while the wheel is still off the ground on the car, Hand tighten the nuts in a star pattern while press on the tire towards the car to make sure the wheel is seated properly. Second lower the car, remove the jack and final torque the lug nuts 1/4 turn at a time star pattern then final final torque around 85 Ft. lbs. Also its important to note if you have posi-traction rear wheel drive and the rear wheel happens to be the one flat, THe process is that you have to take the front wheel and mount it on the back then put the spare on the front. If its front wheel drive and the wheel is flat two options, don't drive more than 20miles with spare tops OR take the back wheel and mount to the front and put the spare on the back.. The reason is, it that cars have gears that rely that both wheels be turning at the same time, when using a smaller size tire, it affects the gear sync and causes expensive problems. I recommend picking up a tire repair kit for 5 dollars and a car air pump. Learn to repair th tire yourself, its cheap, and takes the same amount of time to change a flat tire!! OR get fix a flat, its a can you pump into the tire, but you make the hole at the bottom of the tire so the sticky stuff seals it and airs the tire. BUT its temporary fix, while the tire repair kit is permanent, cheap, and fast! so easy to do, you-tube has how-to video, its a cinch go to you-tube for DIY video on changing a tire. How do you change a flat tire?type into search box
