How to lower rear end suspension on 94 lincoln continental?

i need to know how to release air from rear suspension on 94 lincoln continental. the back ens is too high sense changed tire. i know there's a unit on the dirver's rear tire that controls height but don't know how to adjust it.How to lower rear end suspension on 94 lincoln continental?did you shut off the air ride before you changed your tire?
